Full Description
The remains of a former limestone quarry pit of probable post-medieval date was recorded in this location in June 2009, during archaeological monitoring of new development. The quarry was partially overlain by the garage structure known as 'The Vinery', and must have been backfilled prior to its building in the early 19th century. {1}{2}
