Full Description

Two ditches of 18th to 19th century date were found in this location in November 2013, during archaeological investigation of land at Elsea Park, Bourne. The ditches were aligned perpendicular to each other, and were thought to be the remains of former field boundary ditches, given the close correspondence of the north-west to south-east ditch to a former boundary depicted on historic mapping of this area. Two redeposited sherds of post-medieval pottery were also recovered from this area. {1}{2}
