Full Description

The former bakehouse at Pocklington's Mill was included in a programme of historic building recording, conducted in February 2014 to inform proposed renovation and renewal works at the site. The structure is a small, rectangular, single-storey building, constructed of brick with a pitched corrugated cement fibre roof. The building is effectively in two parts, with the southern half being of probable late 19th century date, and the northern half being of late 20th century date. The structure would likely have functioned as a former bakehouse until the mill ceased to operate in 1941. The building is now used for storage. {1}{2}
