Full Description
Traces of a ditched enclosure were clearly identified in this location in March 2014, during a magnetometry survey conducted on land off Heath Lane, Honington. The enclosure was recorded as a D-shaped magnetic anomaly with a smaller curving annexe attached to the north-east. Possible discrete anomalies within the enclosure may be of archaeological origin, possibly indicating occupational activity. The form of the enclosure would suggest it is of likely Iron Age or Romano-British date. {1}
