Full Description

Two linear gullies and a single possible furrow were identified in April 2015, during trial trenching on land off Hareby Hill, Old Bolingbroke. The gullies were located in the south-western corner of the site, approximately 4m apart and running parallel to each other on a north to south alignment. The possible furrow was located in the north-eastern corner, and was aligned on an east to west axis. It was thought most likely that the features related to previous agricultural activity in this area, rather than the local medieval pottery industry, although no finds were recovered and the features remain undated. {1}{2}
