Description

During a watching brief (ELI9816) along sections of a water pipeline route, three areas of archaeological interest were identified and these were partially excavated, revealing a previously unknown Roman building (probably an Antonine villa), a further area of possible Roman settlement and industry and a late post medieval land drain production site. {1}{2}
