Description

An archaeological watching brief was carried out by Archaeological Project Services between March and April 2009, during groundworks associated with the construction of a new shop front and rear ground floor extension at 35-36 High Street, Stamford. The project entailed the lowering of ground floor to the rear of the building by around 0.60m, and the demolition of an internal wall, followed by the excavation of a trench for drainage. {1}{2}
