Description

Two trial trenches were excavated in advance of proposed residential and retail development at 116 High Street, Lincoln. A third trench was planned but was not excavated due to health and safety concerns. A possible Roman kiln was revealed along with medieval features which are likely to be associated with 'John of Gaunt's Palace'. {1}{2}
