An archaeological watching brief was conducted during the excavation of investigative trial pits at the Church of St Helen, Stickford. A pit containing limestone chippings, thought to have possibly formed part of the foundation deposits for the church tower, was the only feature recorded, although fragments of disarticulated human bone were also identified within the overlying graveyard soil. {1}{2}
