Description

A watching brief was carried out during groundworks associated with the installation of replacement external drainage around the church. The foundations of the north side of the tower, nave and apse were exposed and it was observed that the 19th century apse sits over the foundations of the demolished medieval chancel. Pottery dating to the 13th century was recovered. {1}{2}
