Description
A programme of archaeological monitoring and recording was conducted during groundworks for the installation of a new water main along Mareham Lane, Sleaford. The remains of a former ditch was revealed along with a series of undated subsoils. The ditch was thought to be associated with an earlier form of Mareham Lane, and would suggest that the road was originally much narrower. {1}{2}
