Description

An archaeological watching was conducted during groundworks for the replacement of external drainage in the churchyard at St Martin's Church, Waithe. A stone foundation course for the north wall of the church tower was exposed, along with demolition debris relating to the 1861 restoration. Two redeposited sherds of 13th to 15th century medieval pottery were also recovered from the topsoil deposit. {1}{2}
