Description

The earthworks to the east of the present Howell Hall were visited by F.R. Harper, an O.S. field inspector, in 1965. He found that some of the earthworks had been destroyed and the remaining ones indicated garden remains rather than a moat and so the 25" O.S. map was revised. {1}
