Description
A watching brief was carried out during groundworks on part of the former Marshall Sons & Co. Britannia Works site. Post medieval features relating to the works were identified, and three fragments of residual medieval pottery were found within 20th century deposits. Human remains were also discovered on site, and these probably pre-date the iron works. {1}{2}
