Description
18 trial trenches were excavated following geophysical survey (ELI4759) at the site. The trenches were positioned to investigate anomalies revealed during the survey. Prehistoric material and features including a palaeochannel were encountered, however the majority of the archaeology uncovered related to the early Roman period. {1}{2}
