Description

A single trial trench was excavated on land to the south of the Tap and Spile in advance of housing development. The purpose of the trench was to assess the depth and nature of archaeological deposits at the site, and late medieval-early post medieval deposits were encountered at 0.89m below the current ground surface. {1}{2}
