Description

A watching brief was conducted during the excavation of 17 geotechnical trial pits along two sections of the proposed route of the Aswarby - Harrowby water pipeline. An undated mound, identified in the western series of test pits, was the only archaeological feature identified, although a single sherd of Romano-British pottery was also recovered from adjacent to one of the eastern test pits. {1}{2}
