Description

An evaluation (trial trenching) was undertaken on land within the southern part of the camp at RAF Digby, Ashby de la Launde, in reponse to a proposal for redevelopment of the site. It was anticipated that the development could affect archaeological deposits and, in consequence, fourteen trenches were excavated to test for their presence and survival. Four of the trenches were 10 by 2m, the remainder 5 by 2m.{1}{2}
