Description

A site visit was made in to a large area of land that had been machine excavated in the vicinity of a former field dyke, now filled in. The landowners had reported that when the dyke was open many years previously, pottery had been recovered. The present excavation produced large quantities of Romano-British pottery, oyster shell and moderate amounts of bone.{1}
