Description
An archaeological watching brief was carried out on land off Abbey Road and South Street, Swineshead. The watching brief observed foundations dug to a depth of 0.7m for four new residential buildings. Four layers of demolition and rubble deposits were recorded, which contained 18th century pottery and tile.{1}{2}
