Description

Twenty three trial trenches were excavated on land at Poplar Farm, Grantham prior to development. A possible Saxon grubenhaus and several Prehistoric lithic scatters were recorded. Finds recovered included two Roman or Saxon glass beads and a complete 7th century multi-handled votive cup. The presence of Medieval ridge and furrow was also noted in the northwest and east of the site. {1}{2}
