A fluxgate gradiometer survey was conducted to assess a proposed extension to Highfield Quarry, Welton Le Marsh. Several linear and curvilinear magnetic anomalies were identified, and interpreted as number of possible enclosures, boundary ditches and pits, of unknown date. A diffuse linear magnetic anomaly, thought to represent traces of the course of a known Roman road, was also recorded. {1}{2}
