Description

Archaeological investigations were undertaken on land at Clay Lake Lane in advance of proposed residential development. Ten archaeological trial trenches were positioned as evenly over the entire development area to establish the type, chronology, density, spatial arrangement and extent of any archaeoogical remains present. The investigation revealed a general sequence of natural alluvial deposits, including a palaeochannel. No finds were recovered.
