Trial trenching was carried out on circa 0.9ha of land prior to residential development. Nine trenches were placed to investigate potential archaeological features identified by prior geophysical survey and analysis of aerial photographs. Trenches 1, 2, 3, 5 and 9 measured 10m by 1.65m, Trenches 4 and 6 measured 15m by 1.65m, and Trenches 7 and 8 measured 20m by 1.65m. Trenches 3 and 9 contained no archaeological finds or features.{1}
