Description

A fieldwalking survey was carried out as part of a programme of evaluation prior to proposed building works. The site was walked on transects 10m apart with collection units of 30m. The site surface was a clayey sandy silt with limestone fragments. Conditions for fieldwalking were good; the field was recently ploughed and had weathered to a reasonably fine degree, although the stony ground material may have had a slight negative impact on artefact retrieval. {1}{2}
