Description

In 1968 survey by proton gradiometer was followed by sample excavation within an area 750 yards east to west and 350 yards north to south, on the east bank of the River Trent. 30 areas of high readings were located, and sample excavation has shown three of these to be Roman pottery kilns. {1}
