Description

An area approximately 12m by 8m was cleared on the south side of St Bartholomew's church for the construction of a Sunday School room, with a 12th to 13th century medieval aisle being discovered. The medieval aisle arcade is still to be found inside the church and assuming that the aisle wall was parallel to the arcade the estimated internal width of the medieval aisle is 4.08m. {1}
