Description

Fieldwalking was carried out as part of the initial non-invasive archaeological evaluation prior to gravel extraction. No concentrations of artefacts indicative of a buried archaeological site were observed, despite ideal ground conditions. Some medieval pottery was recovered as well as two flints. A quantity of post medieval and modern material was also observed. {1}
