Description

Trial trenching was undertaken to assess the presence/absence of archaeological remains and to inform future planning decisions. Two trenches measuring circa 10m by 1.5m were placed at right angles to each other, Trench 1 parallel and adjacent to Vicarge Road, Trench 2 to the east. Trench 1 had to be shortened somewhat owing to constriants on machine access.{1}
