Description
A magnetometry survey was undertaken on circa 0.57ha of land to the southwest of School Lane, Old Leake, to inform a proposed residential development. A small number of diffuse linear features were encountered, which were interpreted as possible post-Medieval boundary ditches. {1}
Subsequent trial trenching (ELI2189) revealed the presence of a number of ditches of Saxo-Norman date, some of which were not picked up by the geophysical survey.
