Description

An evaluation, in the form of trial trenching, was undertaken on circa 0.75ha of land, in order to assess the archaeological resource prior to proposed residential development. Five trenches were to be excavated originally; this was altered to four trenches due to difficulties locating the trenches outside the buildings' footprints. Four trenches measured 12m by 3.5m; the length of Trench 2 was limited to avoid the footprint of a proposed bungalow. {1}
