An evaluation, in the form of trial trenching, was undertaken on circa 2.5ha of land prior to groundworks associated with a residential development. Four trenches were excavated, placed to investigate anomalies identified by a prior geophysical survey. Trench 1 measured 25m by 1.6m; Trenches 2 and 3 measured 20m by 1.6m; and Trench 4 measured 12m by 1.6m.{1}
