Description

An archaeological watching brief was conducted during groundworks for the construction of a new extension to Mill Cottage at Blankney Barff. Dumped deposits relating to the initial construction of Mill Cottage were recorded, along with an earlier, though undated, spread of limestone, thought to represent the remains of a former wall or yard surface. A further sequence of deposits, thought to relate to the north-eastern bank of the Car Dyke, were also revealed. {1}{2}
