Description

An evaluation, in the form of trial trenching, was carried out to establish whether further evidence of Roman activity was present in the development area, prior to construction of new classrooms, a drama suite and an art suite. Two trenches were excavated, Trench 1 measuring 10m by 1.8m, trench 2 measuring 15m by 1.8m. Trench 1 was reduced in length to 6.2m due to the presence of live services. Trench 2 was impossible to clean and record due to rapid flooding.{1}
