A programme of archaeological monitoring and recording was conducted during groundworks associated with alterations and the building of an extension to the mosque at Orchard Street, Lincoln. The building was a former Baptist chapel, originally built in 1888, and converted into a mosque in 1981. None of the groundworks extended beyond layers of 19th century made ground, and no archaeologically significant features or finds were encountered. {1}{2}
