Description
A programme of archaeological monitoring and recording was conducted during groundworks for the construction of a new dwelling on land at Plot 1, Broadgate, Whaplode Drove. The remains of a probable medieval refuse pit and enclosure ditch were recorded, with sherds of 1th to 12th and 12th to 14th pottery being recovered from their respective fills. Less significantly, the remains of a probable later post-medieval boundary ditch was also noted, cutting across the site along a south-west to north-east axis. {1}{2}
