A condition survey was conducted to inform the proposed construction of a new residential dwelling within the 18th century walled garden associated with Riby Park. Photographs were taken of the garden's boundary walls and outbuildings, and scaled plan and elevation drawings produced. Overall the brickwork was deemed to be in poor condition, with mechanical damage and weathering noted on the copings, bricks and mortar joints of all elevations. The condition of the northeast elevation of the garden wall was noted to be particularly poor, with urgent repairs needed. {1}
