Description
A programme of archaeological monitoring and recording was conducted at The Old Hall, Main Street, Foston, during groundworks for external remedial works to the Grade II Listed building. The groundworks exposed the stone foundation of the building and identified a consistent deposit sequence of topsoil, construction trench backfill and natural substrate. No other archaeologically significant features, deposits or finds were encountered. {1}{2}
