Description

A Heritage Impact Assessment was undertaken at Ivy House Farm, Bag Enderby. The cottage and surrounding outbuildings, as well as the setting, which included the church and the lane leading to the site, were photographed and recorded. A description of the farmhouse is given as wellv as the history of both the cottage and outbuildings. The report noted from the 1839 tithe map that several additional outbuildings were present to the west and south of the cottage, which fored the origianl outbuildings prior to the new and current complex was constructed. Additional outbuildings were identified to the west and east, which appeared to have been demolished by the late 19th or early 20th century. {1}
