Description

A geophysical survey was conducted on land at Elsea Park, Bourne, to inform proposed development on the site. Two linaer anomalies representing possible ditches were encountered in the centre in the survey area, with a curvilinear anomaly to their north that was interpreted as a possible ring gully. At the western edge of the site, a possible kiln and spread of ceramic or ferrous material were encountered, along with a group of possible ditches and pits. Anomalies corresponding to the extant ridge and furrow earthworks were also noted across the site. {1}
