A magnetometry survey was conducted on land to the west of Tattershall Road, Woodhall Spa, to inform a proposed residential development. The survey encountered traces of a possible Medieval trackway previously identified on aerial photography (see MLI84827). Evidence of potential industrial activity such as pottery production was encountered to the west of the survey area. Anomalies representing possible archaeology were also encountered towards the northwest of the survey area. The footprint of a former structure depicted on historic mapping was also noted in the centre of the site. {1} Subsequent trial trenching in the north of the survey area encountered a series of undated and late Medieval features in areas where no anomalies were identified (see ELI14122 and ELI14123).
