A magnetometry survey was conducted on land off Brook Street, Hemswell, to inform a proposed residential development. A pair of parallel east-west aligned linear anomalies were identified, interpreted as possible flanking ditches for a trackway. A possible ditch running northeast-southwest across the site was also encountered, which did not align with any known historic field boundaries. The survey noted anomalies that did correspond with field boundary ditches depicted on historic maps, as well as several curvilinear features that may be of archaeological or geological origin. {1}{2}
