Six trial trenches were excavated to inform the proposed construction of a residential development. Three Saxo-Norman ditches were identified. Finds including pottery and animal bone were recovered from all three ditches, including one fragment of goose ulna that showed evidence of working, possibly for use as a musical instrument. {1}{2}
