A historic building survey was undertaken prior to the conversion of farm buildings at Cade Top Farm to residential units. The surveyed buildings formed an E-shape plan around two south-facing crewyards. The West Range was a single storey yellow brick building under a pitched gabled pantile roof, and two string courses below the eaves. The east elevation was open in a wide arched colonnade, which had columns of red and yellow brick with bullnose brick corners. To the north of the West Range was a small single storey outbuilding in yellow brick, in ruinous condition. The Central Range was similar in form to the West Range, and was open to the west crewyard. A modern breeze block extension had been built to enclose the colonnade. Breeze block half walls separated the interior into animal stalls. The East Range was also single storey yellow brick with the string courses at eaves height, but was in ruinous condition with no roof. It was internally divided into seven smaller cells. The North Range comprised a two storey barn building and a smaller single storey building with a three-arch colonnade on the north elevation. The compound dates to the 19th century. {1}{2}
