Description

A historic building survey was undertaken to inform the proposed conversion of farm buildings at The Grange, Wanfleet St Mary, to holiday accommodation. The surveyed buildings comprised a probable former threshing barn, two ranges of a single-storey U-shaped compound open to the west, which included a former cartshed and store rooms, and a two storey barn built in the mid 20th century. All of the buildings had been heavily altered and their original form and use is in places unclear. A farmworker's cottage bonded to the north elevation of the former threshing barn and the southern range of the U-shaped compound were not included in the survey. {1}{2}
