Description

Historic graffiti at the Church of St Clement was recorded by the Lincolnshire Medieval Graffiti Project. The survey identified a large number of historic marks present throughout the church, although more concentrated around the tower and north aisle. The marks comprise examples from a wide variety of graffiti types, including a large number of memorial graffiti and initials, figurative images of people and possible fish, masons marks, witch marks, crosses, and geometric shapes. {1}
