Description
A heritage impact assessment was undertaken for the construction of two dwellings on land to the rear of Burgh House, in Burgh le Marsh. The development was assessed as having no physical impacts on any monuments or listed buildings in the surrounding, it would however have some limited visual impact. The new dwellings will be located just to the north-west of the historically walled garden of Burgh House and therefore not affect its boundaries. The proposed housing will reportedly resemble the location and general form of since-lost buldings present in 19th century plans. The development site was a lorry yard in the mid-20th century and the site of dairy related economic activity. {1}
