Description

A programme of archaeological monitoring and recording was conducted during groundworks associated with the construction of a new residential dwelling and garden store with associated access and driveway on land off Orchard Road, Fiskerton on the 15th-16th November 2018 and on the 19th October 2019. Within one of the southern trenches two short lengths of roughly constructed, undated stone wall foundations. A large pit was located in the southern area of the new build footprint, which contained late 15th-mid 16th century pottery, along with a residual fragment of Roman brick. No further archaeological features were identified. {1}{2}
