A programme of archaeological monitoring and recording was conducted during repair works to a portion of the churchyard boundary wall at the Church of the Holy Cross, Kirkby Green. The removal of part of the 20th century walling exposed remains of an earlier, likely mid 19th century churchyard wall beneath. Several small fragments of redeposited and disarticulated human bone were also recovered from the graveyard soil, with the fragments being re-buried at the conclusion of the investigation. {1}{2}
