Description

A site visit was conducted to investigate a sub-rectangular area of land bounded by a series of interconnected drains, to the south-west of Laughterton. It was thought that the drains might possibly be defining a medieval moated site. This interpretation was thought to be highly unlikely after the visit, although the exact origin or function of the drains could not be determined. {1}
